The geek here....

I have spent the better part of the day and now the night trying to figure out how to convert an xml rss feed to output onto html that now...at 12:18am I finally figured it out I got all that energy like Krista does when she has a group I can't sleep. So to recap I couldn't sleep until I figured it out then when I did I have too much built up energy to sleep. My issue was googled many a times till I found this site

http://www.javascriptkit.com/dhtmltutors/googleajaxfeed3.shtml

and will soon be featured at doornetwork.org once I do some formatting.

phew...I wish I was a programmer but I like web design better

Googling

I've been googling myself for a few years now every once in a while but I never found myself anywhere, the problem being is my name is really common. Today that has changed I did a full name search for myself and Krista and me are the first link. Check it out below:

from the geek to the sour patch girl

Ok, Jim told me he has told me this before but I didn't think it was that neat - but when he showed it to me again - I think it is way cool!

google.com/reader

It is a great place to read stuff - let me explain....so I like to read a dozen or so blogs - but just like ours they aren't updated everyday - so this reader on google "reads" the blogs for me and when there are new entries or news stories from news sites it tells me! So I can go to my reader and read all the stuff off all my favorite blogs and news sites without sorting through the stuff I have read.

I love having my geek around to find this cool stuff!

Computer and Peace Geek Collided

for those who don't get it, when programming a website in order to stop for example bolding a part of text the character / is used. I dunno maybe someone out there wouldn't get it right away....

Harry Potter

Sorry...Jim usually keeps this blog updated, and he is investing his time in his Homer Puzzle and his Harry Potter book.

The Homer puzzle is cool; and I like the fact that my husband reads so that is fine by me!

videogames & violence

Slightly heated debates happen between Krista and me about this topic and this comic sums up my opinion a little...

from a favorite comic/blog Extralife

hey all Simpsons fans

So...I heard this morning that some 7/11 stores are turning into Abu's Quiky Mart from the Simpson in time for the movie. The one in Chicago is going to be on 63rd street near Midway. I even want to go there.

This would be the time to mention something about marriage. In the beginning of creating a blog together - I mentioned that it would be easy to tell Krista posts from Jim posts. However, I am posting about a very Jim topic and he often posts about Krista topics.

Marriage is turning out that way. I notice what he likes to notice and he notices Krista things (he is actually better at this than I am). I guess friendships are a little like that too - I will always notice frogs thanks to Chris' obsession with them. However, this noticing goes a little further - I mean, I want to take Jim to the 7/11 and buy him all the stuff they have changed specifically for the movie.
