I am so busy with work, through hiring an assistant has helped, and busy trying to get in enough husband time to last through the summer, I haven't had time to post. Tonight, I am cooking for a couple of co-workers - I was asked to make alfredo, never made that before, so I will let you know how it goes.
Right now, the apartment smells of chocolate raspberry bars just out of the oven....

Movie Review #1 - Shrek
I always wanted to write up some movie reviews so here goes my first one...
Shrek 3 - 7/10 stars
Plot:
Shrek, Donkey, PnB head out to find the heir to the throne for Far, Far, Away Land. Prince Charming takes over Far Far Away. Shrek and crew have to stop Prince Charming from succeeding.
Seen the first two? You know what your getting into then. Lot's of pop culture references and many "adult" jokes the kids won't get. It's fast paced but not as fast paced and rushed as Spider-Man 3. It's a good popcorn summer movie. The only disappointing part in the movie is Donkeys and PnBs character in my opinion didn't have enough jokes/lines. My favorite new side character is Eric Idle's Merlin, hopefully he will come back for whatever sequels Dreamworks have in store. Which I hear there is a Puss 'n Boots movie and a Shrek prequel.
Though not as good as the first two I'm sure with multiple viewings on DVD it will join the collection of DVD's I have at home. Catch it at a matinee in my opinion.

Little Zachary
Little Zachary was doing very badly in math.
His parents had tried everything... Tutors, Mentors, flash cards, Special learning centers. In short, everything they could think of to help his math. Finally, in a last ditch effort, they took Zachary down and enrolled him In the local Catholic school. After the first day, little Zachary came home with a very serious look on his face. He didn't even kiss his mother hello. Instead, he went straight to his room and started studying. Books and papers were spread out all over the room and little Zachary was hard at work. His mother was amazed. She called him down to dinner. To her shock, the minute he was done, he marched back to his room without a word, and in no time, he was back hitting the books as hard as before. This went on for some time, day after day, while the mother tried to understand what made all the difference.
Finally, little Zachary brought home his report card. He quietly laid it on the table, went up to his room and hit the books. With great trepidation, his Mom looked at it and to her great surprise, little Zachary got an "A" in math. She could no longer hold her curiosity. She went to his room and said, "Son, what was it? Was it the nuns?"
Little Zachary looked at her and shook his head, no. "Well, then," she replied, "Was it the books, the discipline, the structure, the uniforms? "WHAT WAS IT ALREADY?"
Little Zachary looked at her and said, "Well, on the first day of school when I saw that guy nailed to the plus sign, I knew they weren't fooling around."

I'll be here all week try the veal ;)

Cute husband
I was opening the blog to get to a cool link (redeye's CTA blog) when I noticed the picture of Jim. He's awful cute, isn't he?
This is the first week of my funky schedule!
Working crazy hours, being home just enough to sleep and usually pee, and loving every minute of it.
This week is a Spanish class from Duluth, MN. They have been hanging out at Spanish speaking agencies for the week. Plus, in the evenings we have gone to Spanish speaking neighborhoods to eat! Yippee!
This week also holds a sleepover with the City Dwellers, luckily at my house, so sleep may actually occur....another cavity being filled, and working on Saturday at an event held by one of our agencies, a talent show at another agency, and graduation Sunday at church which I am helping with. Then, I have a couple days to crash....
My bout with Mono is usually fine at this point but I need to go to the doctor today for an infection and my lack of sleep isn't helping.
